Heated Rivalry announces new cast members for season two

The Canadian queer hockey drama ‘Heated Rivalry’ has announced several new cast members for its second season on Crave. The expansion of the cast suggests the series will broaden its scope beyond the central romance of Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov by incorporating elements from multiple novels in Rachel Reid’s ‘Game Changers’ series.

New additions to the cast include Emily Hampshire, Priyanka, Edvin Ryding, Sabrina Jalees, and Robert Naylor. Specifically, Ryding will play Luca Haas, while Naylor is set to portray Ottawa Centaurs goaltender Wyatt Hayes. The inclusion of characters like Vanessa and Tarek, who appear in Reid’s novel ‘Tough Guy’, indicates that the upcoming season may weave together various storylines from the book saga, including ‘The Long Game’ and ‘Role Model’.

While an exact release date has not been confirmed, the second season is expected to arrive in spring 2027.
