Heather Darling joins Women in Commerce Awards panel

Morris County Surrogate Heather J. Darling participated as a panelist at the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey’s annual Women in Commerce Awards breakfast. Held at the Glen Ridge Country Club, the event saw its largest attendance to date and recognized women for their leadership and impact within the New Jersey business community.

During the panel discussion, moderated by Jen Mannino of LAN Associates, Darling and six other leaders from various sectors discussed career paths, professional challenges, and leadership philosophies. Darling encouraged women to pursue their professional goals, stating, “Women should never accept less than what they, with all their heart, truly believe they were meant to be.”

Jennifer Velez, CEO of Public Service Enterprise Group, delivered the keynote address. Other panelists included representatives from Santander Bank, Valley Health System, HC Constructors, Mikula Contracting, Simply Sherri, and SKC & Co. CPAs.
