Heathrow Airport to relocate several airlines in 2028 terminal shuffle

London Heathrow Airport will implement a terminal reorganization in 2028 to optimize capacity, affecting approximately two million passengers annually.

Under the new plan, Finnair, Japan Airlines, and Delta Air Lines will move from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4. This shift will impact premium travelers, as Delta passengers will lose access to the Virgin Atlantic lounges in Terminal 3, while Finnair and Japan Airlines travelers will lose the ability to access various Oneworld lounges in Terminal 3, such as those operated by Cathay Pacific and Qantas. However, Terminal 4 offers access to Qatar Airways lounges for business and first-class passengers.

Other airline movements include China Southern moving from Terminal 4 to Terminal 5, and LATAM relocating from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2.
