Heating and renovation workshops scheduled in Germany

Several educational events are being organized in Germany to assist homeowners with the transition to climate-friendly heating and energy-efficient renovations.

In Bad Nenndorf, the Energieagentur Schaumburg, in collaboration with the Klimaschutzagentur Region Hannover and the Verband Wohneigentum Niedersachsen, will host the ‘Mein Klimacoach’ event on November 17. Energy advisors Frederik Küting and Lutz Gärtner will provide guidance on selecting heating systems and determining the most effective sequence for renovation measures. The event will also include the presentation of the ‘Grüne Hausnummer 2026’ award to homeowners demonstrating successful energetic renovations.

Additionally, an expert lecture led by process engineer Ferdinand Dillkötter is scheduled for November 9 at the Ökologiestation. The session will address the complexities of the Building Modernization Act (GModG), the Heat Planning Act (WPG), and federal funding for efficient buildings (BEG). Dillkötter will specifically focus on the physics and economics of heat pumps, the impact of photovoltaic systems, and the potential rising costs of fossil fuel heating.
