Recent product evaluations highlight heating pads and electric blankets as efficient alternatives to heating entire rooms during cold weather.

In a test conducted by IMTEST, the Stoov Ploov heating pad was named the overall winner. The device features infrared technology, three heat levels, and a battery that allows for cordless use for up to five hours. It is designed to resemble a standard sofa cushion and includes safety features such as overheat protection and an automatic shut-off function.

The Bedsure electric blanket received the award for best value. Available in various sizes, the blanket offers six heat settings and a preheating function that automatically lowers the temperature after one hour to ensure comfort during sleep. It also includes a timer function, with a default shut-off period of eight to ten hours to enhance safety.
