Heating system troubleshooting for uneven radiator warmth

As the heating season begins, common issues such as uneven radiator warmth are being addressed. One frequent cause is air trapped within the system, which accumulates at the top of the radiator and blocks hot water circulation. This is typically identified when the bottom of the radiator is warm but the top remains cold.

To resolve air buildup, users can bleed the radiator by slowly opening the air vent screw located at the top corner until water flows steadily without bubbles. Following this process, it is important to check the system pressure via a manometer, as bleeding radiators can cause pressure to drop.

If bleeding the radiator does not resolve the issue, the problem may lie with a faulty thermostatic valve. During the summer, the valve pin can become stuck in a closed position, preventing heat even when the thermostat is set to a higher temperature.
