Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator launches Heavy South DLC, doubling game world

AAerosoft announced on 27 July 2026 that the Heavy South expansion for Heavy Cargo – The Truck Simulator is now available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The DLC doubles the size of the game’s European‑inspired open world, adds 31 handcrafted missions and introduces over 20 new cargo types, three new trailers and six new delivery locations such as an aircraft factory, a sawmill, a cargo terminal, a river port, a marina and a mining museum. A new route mission lets players use a crane to clear blocked roads, and the update expands Economy Mode with countless procedural mission combos.

A free patch 1.3.0 ships with the DLC, revamping the environment with denser vegetation, updated textures, improved lighting and a render distance up to 16 km. It also adds a long‑requested virtual right‑side mirror, fulfilling a community request. The expansion offers new mountain routes in the south and enhances the overall logistics experience.

The launch is part of a broader effort to deepen realistic heavy‑transport gameplay in collaboration with Gruber Logistics, a leading European logistics firm.
