Heavy rain causes flooding on Limassol–Paphos highway

Heavy rainfall has caused water to accumulate on various parts of the Limassol–Paphos highway, specifically at the Polemidia level. The Cyprus Police have issued warnings to drivers to exercise extreme caution, maintain low speeds, keep a safe distance from preceding vehicles, and ensure headlights are turned on.

The Department of Meteorology reports that weather conditions across Limassol and Paphos include localized rain and potential thunderstorms, with the possibility of hail in storm areas. Winds are expected to be moderate to strong, reaching up to 5 Beaufort, while temperatures are forecasted to reach approximately 28 degrees Celsius in inland and coastal areas.
