Heavy rains trigger deadly floods across central and southern China

Intense rainfall in China's central and southern regions caused widespread flooding in provinces including Guizhou, Jiangxi, Anhui, Hunan, Hubei and Guangdong. In Duyun city, Guizhou, the floods prompted a third‑level disaster alert as water inundated numerous neighborhoods.

The flooding has resulted in at least ten fatalities nationwide, with authorities deploying emergency response teams to assist affected communities and to mitigate further damage.
