Heavy vehicle industry updates: Eaton launches new clutch and MAN updates electric truck

Eaton has expanded its heavy vehicle portfolio with the launch of a new 430 mm clutch designed for automated transmissions. The product aims to meet the demands of road transport by focusing on durability, performance, and cost-effectiveness to reduce unplanned downtime for fleet operators.

In the electric vehicle sector, MAN has updated its eTGX heavy electric truck, designed for long-distance operations. The updated model features higher-capacity batteries, improved regenerative braking, and aerodynamic enhancements. In its most robust 6x2 configuration, the truck can reach a range of up to 720 km, though the company estimates a more realistic daily operational range of over 600 km. The vehicle supports megawatt charging (MCS) up to 750 kW.
