Following Fury’s claims that he is seeking a trilogy fight with Oleksandr Usyk, Usyk’s manager, Sergey Lapin, dismissed the idea, stating that Usyk is not a ‘back-up plan’ for Fury. While negotiations for a bout between Fury and Anthony Joshua have faced delays over venue selection, Fury has publicly expressed interest in facing Usyk again, despite Usyk’s recent decision to vacate his heavyweight titles.
