Hebert Vargas' song tops global Vallenato chart

Colombian singer Hebert Vargas reached the number‑one position on the international Vallenato chart with his track “La tristeza mía,” written by composer Wilfran Castillo. The song topped the Red Mundial de Vallenato, a network of radio hosts and programmers spanning Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Mexico, the United States, Aruba and Europe. The achievement was highlighted on major programs in Valledupar and abroad, and Vargas is slated to perform the hit at the Feria de las Flores in Medellín later this month.
