Hebros Bus wins appellate court ruling in Plovdiv bus station dispute

The Plovdiv Appellate Court has overturned a previous lower court ruling regarding the ownership of a portion of the South Bus Station property. The decision favors Hebros Bus in its legal dispute against the Plovdiv Municipality.

While a first-instance ruling in late 2025 had rejected Hebros Bus's claims, the appellate court found that the property and buildings were originally state-owned and managed by the state enterprise ‘Patnicheski Avtotransport – Plovdiv’. As the legal successor to this entity, Hebros Bus has successfully demonstrated its right to the assets.

The ruling concerns approximately one-fifth of the South Bus Station property. Although the decision can still be appealed to the Supreme Court of Cassation, the current outcome significantly impacts the future of Plovdiv's transport infrastructure and the potential development of the site.
