Hefei to host 2026 World Manufacturing Convention

The 2026 World Manufacturing Convention is scheduled to take place in Hefei, Anhui Province, from September 20 to 23. Under the theme ‘Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better Future,’ the event aims to showcase advancements in sectors such as artificial intelligence, next-generation information technology, and intelligent connected new-energy vehicles.

The United Kingdom has been named the guest country of honor for the convention. The event is expected to host over 1,000 prominent guests, including foreign political leaders, ministerial-level officials, and representatives from international organizations. More than 500 international delegates, including executives from Fortune Global 500 companies such as Merck, Mitsubishi Electric, and Air Liquide, are anticipated to attend.

Organizers have identified 946 potential partnership projects to date, with a combined investment value exceeding RMB 400 billion. The convention will feature business-matching sessions, investment meetings, and exhibitions designed to foster cross-border industrial and supply-chain partnerships, including China-Europe manufacturing cooperation.
