Aachen Para Dressage World Championships see record-breaking gold for Kate Shoemaker

The 2026 FEI Para Dressage World Championships in Aachen, Germany, have seen several record-breaking performances and medal wins across various grades.

In Grade IV, American athlete Kate Shoemaker and her mare Vianne secured the individual gold medal, setting a new world record for the Grand Prix Test A with a score of 78.889%. Germany’s Anna-Lena Niehues took silver with Vive L’Amour, while Great Britain’s Nicola Naylor earned bronze on Humberto L.

In Grade II, Heidemarie Dresing of Germany won the individual gold medal with Poesie, scoring 75.483%. In Grade I, Marie Vonderheyden of the USA claimed gold riding Fan Tastico H.

Grade V saw Great Britain’s Sophie Wells take the gold medal with MSJ Gold Standard, while Germany’s Regine Mispelkamp secured the bronze medal on Highlander Delight’s.
