Heidesheim receives 8.3 million euros for affordable housing project
In Heidesheim, the Wohnungsbaugesellschaft Ingelheim am Rhein (WBI) is developing the ‘Am Bachacker’ residential quarter, which will include 65 rental apartments. Of these, 33 are designated as social housing supported by state subsidies.
Building Minister Sven Teuber and Elitza Boukovska from the Investitions- und Strukturbank Rheinland-Pfalz (ISB) presented the funding notice, totaling approximately 8.3 million euros. This amount consists of roughly 6 million euros in low-interest loans and nearly 2.255 million euros in repayment grants provided by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
The subsidized units are intended for various income levels. Eight apartments will have an initial cold rent of 7.45 euros per square meter and are subject to rent and occupancy restrictions for 30 years. An additional 25 apartments are aimed at middle-income households, with an initial cold rent of 8.45 euros per square meter and a 20-year binding period.
