Heidi Gardner expresses interest in returning to SNL as an alumna

Comedian Heidi Gardner has expressed interest in returning to Saturday Night Live as an alumna. After departing the show in August 2025, Gardner noted that she finds joy in seeing former cast members make surprise appearances on the program.

Gardner has remained active in her career following her exit from the show. She recently completed filming a movie in her hometown of Kansas City, an experience she noted felt familiar due to the demanding 12- to 14-hour workdays typical of her time at SNL. She also highlighted a career milestone involving a scene with actor William H. Macy.

In addition to her acting work, Gardner is involved in a partnership with TEMPTATIONS™, which includes an upcoming immersive pop-up experience in New York City.
