Heike Henkel and Heike Drechsler present book at Frankfurt Book Fair
German Olympic champions Heike Henkel and Heike Drechsler presented their joint book, ‘Heike & Heike – Zwei Seiten einer Medaille’, at the 2026 Frankfurt Book Fair.
Accompanied by their manager and moderator Rainer Berger, the athletes discussed their professional successes, personal setbacks, and mental strength. The presentation also touched upon their shared history as women who grew up under different political systems.
Henkel, a high jump gold medalist from the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, and Drechsler, a long jump gold medalist from both the 1992 Barcelona and 2000 Sydney Olympics, used the platform to explore themes of discipline, pressure, and resilience that extend beyond professional sports.
