Heilung announces new album ‘Sagas’ for December 2026

The neofolk collective Heilung has announced the release of a new album titled ‘Sagas’ on December 11, 2026, via the label Season of Mist. The project consists of recordings originally created in collaboration with Ninja Theory for the video game ‘Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II’.

While the music is rooted in the game’s 9th-century Icelandic setting and mythological themes, the band is releasing it as a standalone studio album. The release includes the first single, ‘Læknisgaldr’, which features a music video exploring themes of ritual, trauma, and healing through repetition.

Deluxe editions of the album on CD and double vinyl will include an additional ambient component titled ‘Ambient’, featuring eight extra soundscapes recorded during studio sessions to deepen the immersive experience.
