Heimattiergartenverein shifts to supporting role in Fulda

The Heimattiergartenverein in Fulda has transitioned into a supporting role following the restructuring of the Wirgarten at Sickelser Straße. While the Kinder-Akademie Fulda (KAF) now operates the modern animal park, the association—which has a 60-year history—remains active as a promoter and supporter.

The association continues to provide a significant portion of the animal stock and utilizes volunteer members to assist with the animals. Beyond providing animals for the new concept, the group provides financial support for animal-assisted programs, specifically aiming to help socially disadvantaged families access these services.
