Heimatverein Lembeck wins LokalStars-Award in Dorsten

The Heimatverein Lembeck has won first place in Dorsten at the LokalStars-Award, receiving a prize of 500 euros. The award, presented by Westenergie and the city of Dorsten, recognizes local engagement that makes communities more livable and sustainable.

The winning project involved converting the ‘Museschoppen’, an old grain store, into a ‘Dorfwerkstatt’ (village workshop). The renovated space serves as a multi-generational meeting point and is equipped with tables, chairs, and a fitted kitchen.

As a municipal winner, the Heimatverein Lembeck also qualifies for the regional decision, where prize money of up to 5,000 euros is available.
