Heineken advances global sustainability and industrial growth strategies
Heineken is implementing global growth and sustainability strategies that impact its operations in Mozambique and Brazil. In Mozambique, the company’s factory in Bobole serves as a model for social and economic transformation through industrialization. The company prioritizes local labor, with quotas reaching 60% for roles not requiring high qualifications, aiming to create a healthy and inclusive work ecosystem.
Globally, Heineken has updated its ‘Heineken Cheers a Better World’ plan with 2030 targets. This includes a 25% increase in the volume of low-alcohol and non-alcoholic products and a focus on responsible consumption. In Brazil, the company is investing in infrastructure and bioenergy, including a R$ 460 million bioenergy unit in Jacareí and a new brewery in Passos. Additionally, Heineken aims to improve water efficiency, targeting a reduction in water consumption per hectoliter of beer produced by 2030.
