Heinz Hoenig cancels 75th birthday celebrations due to health

German actor Heinz Hoenig has canceled his planned 75th birthday celebrations due to ongoing health concerns. The large-scale surprise event, which was intended to take place in Hamburg and include a harbor cruise and a party at a local restaurant, has been scaled back.

Annika Kärsten-Hoenig confirmed that the actor must prioritize rest. Instead of the large celebration, the family will mark the occasion privately at their home in Blankenburg. There are plans to reschedule the Hamburg trip for mid-October if his health permits.

Hoenig has faced several medical challenges recently, including a hospitalization in mid-September following complications with a stent, which required intensive care in Magdeburg. His friend, actress Jenny Elvers, expressed support for the decision, noting that health must come first.
