German actor Heinz Hoenig, known for his role in ‘Das Boot’, is recovering after a medical emergency involving suspected heart complications. On Sunday, he was airlifted via helicopter from a hospital in Halberstadt to the University Hospital Magdeburg due to concerns that an implanted stent might be defective and causing internal bleeding.
Following intensive medical examinations, doctors have provided a cautious all-clear, confirming that the stent is intact and functioning correctly. Hoenig has since been moved from the intensive care unit to a regular hospital ward for continued monitoring.
