Heirs Life Assurance appoints Jerry Eze to its board

Heirs Life Assurance has appointed Pastor Jerry Eze as an Independent Non-Executive Director on its board, effective August 10, 2026. The appointment is intended to bolster consumer trust, community engagement, and insurance adoption within Nigeria, where insurance penetration remains below one percent.

Eze is the founder and lead pastor of Streams of Joy International Ministry and the convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration (NSPPD), a large digital prayer platform. His background includes experience in development communications with the World Bank and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). He also leads the Jerry Eze Foundation, which provides philanthropic support to underserved communities.

Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Life Assurance, stated that Eze brings a combination of integrity and a deep understanding of communities to the role. Eze expressed his commitment to working with management to make financial security and insurance more accessible to individuals and businesses.
