Heiterblick completes insolvency proceedings and resumes production
Leipzig-based tram manufacturer Heiterblick has successfully completed its insolvency proceedings following a court decision. The company, which entered a crisis in early 2025 due to rising costs and supply chain issues, is now focusing on fulfilling existing orders.
Production has fully resumed for clients in Würzburg and Dortmund, and manufacturing has begun on vehicles for the Leipzig Transport Authority (LVB). Under the ownership of the Polish Pesa Group, which completed its takeover in July, Heiterblick is undergoing a leadership restructuring. Ulrich Lauel, an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, has been appointed as the new CEO. The company's immediate priorities include production, delivery, and further integration into the Pesa Group. Heiterblick currently employs approximately 250 people.
