Heiwado to expand supermarket presence in Kanazawa and Shiga

Heiwado is expanding its retail footprint with new developments in Ishikawa and Shiga prefectures. In Kanazawa City, a new supermarket tentatively named ‘Heiwado Alpra Foods Market Uneda’ is scheduled to open in the spring of 2027. Located in Uneda-nishi, the site is currently undergoing construction near the Teranaka intersection.

In Shiga Prefecture, the Maruzen Moriyama store is set to undergo a renewal opening on October 23. Following the absorption of Maruzen by the Heiwado Group, this renovation aims to strengthen fresh food offerings. The store will implement store-specific procurement for produce and fish, utilizing dedicated buyers to offer high-quality, seasonal items and specialized meat products, including non-frozen minced meat and premium Wagyu beef.
