Hela: Little Mice and the Magic Forest demo released

Shochiku Games has announced the release of a demo for ‘Hela: Little Mice and the Magic Forest’, a 3D open-world adventure game developed by Windup and Knights Peak. Set in the natural landscapes of Sweden, the game follows a small mouse on a quest to assist a sick witch by collecting ‘shimmer’ scattered throughout the forest.

The demo features a unique story and map specifically designed to avoid spoilers for the full game. It supports single-player mode with a ‘clone’ mechanic to solve puzzles, as well as local split-screen co-op. While the demo is limited to local play, the full version will include online co-op for up to four players.

The title is scheduled for release on December 1, 2026, for PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game has been part of a global promotional tour, appearing at events such as Tokyo Game Show and the Steam Next Fest.
