Helen Mirren to be honored at SCAD Savannah Film Festival

The 29th SCAD Savannah Film Festival will open on October 24 with a screening of Anton Corbijn’s thriller, ‘A Talent for Murder’. The film stars Academy Award winner Helen Mirren and Alden Ehrenreich. The plot follows a young man from a New York publishing house who travels to Switzerland to convince a famous author, played by Mirren, to write a final installment of a legendary thriller anthology.

In conjunction with the opening night, the festival will present Helen Mirren with the Legend of Entertainment Award. The event will include a moderated Q&A session with the actress. The SCAD Savannah Film Festival is recognized as a major university-led film event in the Southeast, attracting approximately 74,000 attendees annually.
