Helen Teasdale identified as successful businesswoman following viral food bank encounter

Helen Teasdale, a volunteer at the Himmah food poverty action group in Nottingham, has been identified as a successful former solicitor and millionaire businesswoman following a viral social media moment involving Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

During a visit by Meghan and Prince Harry, footage captured Teasdale providing firm instructions to the Duchess as she demonstrated how to pack a donation bag. The exchange, in which Teasdale noted the task was ‘not very difficult’ after Meghan appeared uncertain about the next step, drew significant online attention. While many social media users characterized Teasdale as a typical local resident, reports reveal she is the co-founder of Springhead Brewery.

Teasdale and her husband, Richard Scragg, established the award-winning microbrewery, Roaring Meg, which successfully supplied ales to major retailers including Tesco and the pub chain J D Wetherspoon before being sold. Teasdale remains a former director of the company.
