Helena Englert, a 26‑year‑old Polish actress and singer, performed her first concert at the Open’er Festival despite having released only three songs. Her appearance sparked a wave of criticism on social media.

Critics alleged that her inclusion was secured through her parents—actor Jan Englert and former actress Beata Ścibakówna—accusing her of nepotism and claiming she displaced more experienced newcomers. Comments referenced phrases such as “nepo”, “tata też będzie?” and “znajomości taty robią swoje”.

Englert responded acknowledging criticism as a cost of her work, stating she will continue to earn her place. She later announced she will also perform at the Męskie Granie festival in August, with shows in Wrocław and Warsaw, reigniting the debate.
