Helena Maciel Boiani completes cancer treatment in Blumenau

Helena Maciel Boiani, a 7-year-old resident of Gaspar, has completed a significant stage of her cancer treatment. After six months of battling Burkitt lymphoma, she rang the bell at Hospital Santo Antônio in Blumenau to symbolize the end of her oncological treatment.

The ceremony was attended by her parents and the Royalty of the 41st Oktoberfest Blumenau. While her active treatment has concluded, Helena will continue to undergo medical monitoring for the next five years. She is the 15th child treated in the hospital's pediatric oncology department to ring the bell in 2026.

The Oktoberfest Blumenau maintains a partnership with the hospital to support pediatric oncology, allowing ticket buyers via the official website to make a R$ 2 donation. The hospital's pediatric oncology sector serves children and adolescents from 53 municipalities in the state of Santa Catarina.
