Helene Fischer lands first solo No.1 German hit with “Heute Nacht”

German singer Helene Fischer’s new single “Heute Nacht” climbed to the top of the Official German Singles Chart a week after its release, according to GfK Entertainment, giving her her first solo number‑one hit. Her earlier chart‑topping song in 2023 was a collaboration with rapper Shirin David. The pop‑schlager track posted the strongest sales week for a German release in over two years, outselling international acts such as Justin Bieber/Nicki Minaj and Zara Larsson.

Telekom selected “Heute Nacht” as the theme for its MagentaTV coverage of the 2026 men’s FIFA World Cup. Fischer said she is “proud and happy” and “immensely grateful for the support of my fans,” adding that the song marks the start of a new musical chapter. She will promote the single on a nationwide stadium tour from 10 June to 17 July, beginning in Dresden and visiting Cologne, Frankfurt, Berlin, Stuttgart and Munich. Meanwhile, the punk band Die Toten Hosen topped the album chart with “Trink aus! Wir müssen gehen.”
