Helensburgh and Lomond projects recommended for £22,500 in council funding
Eighteen community projects in Helensburgh and Lomond have been recommended to receive a share of £22,500 from Argyll and Bute Council’s supporting communities fund. Nine of these initiatives are slated to receive the maximum grant of £1,500.
Beneficiaries include the Helensburgh and Lomond Foodbank, which intends to use the funds for volunteer training and a community engagement facilitator. Other recipients include the Arrochar and Tarbet Three Villages Hall for maintenance, the Helensburgh Bowling Club for equipment to assist players with physical difficulties, and the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club.
The recommendations are scheduled to be reviewed by councillors at the Helensburgh and Lomond area committee meeting on Tuesday, September 8.
