Hele’s School cadets celebrate National Cadets Week

Approximately 200 cadets at Hele’s School in Plympton recently observed their first National Cadets Week. The school’s Combined Cadet Force (CCF) includes sections for the Royal Navy, Army, and Royal Air Force, focusing on developing leadership, teamwork, and resilience through practical training.

During the week, students participated in hands-on activities such as first aid training to prepare for emergencies. The RAF section also hosted a space-themed educational evening for 65 local Cub Scouts and Brownies, helping the children work toward their Space Activity Badge through activities involving satellite monitoring and constellation identification.

To raise awareness of the CCF, the school’s Cadet Social Media and Communications Team produced digital content and a video titled “This is Us” to highlight the opportunities available to students.
