Helga Plankensteiner and Baritube to perform at Montello è Jazz

The jazz festival “Montello è Jazz!” will host the trio Baritube on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Villa Wassermann in Giavera del Montello. The performance features saxophonist Helga Plankensteiner, tubist Glauco Benedetti, and drummer Daniele Patton.

Baritube is a minimalist ensemble utilizing an unconventional instrumentation of baritone saxophone, tuba, and drums. The trio will perform a program of original compositions specifically written for this unique combination, creating a dialogue between the deep registers of the saxophone and tuba and the rhythmic elements of the drums.

Helga Plankensteiner, a saxophonist and composer from South Tyrol, is known for her work with various unconventional formations, including the baritone saxophone quartet Barionda. She is joined by Benedetti, who works across lyrical-symphonic and jazz spheres, and Patton, a drummer trained at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.
