Helicopter crash in Ganderkesee results in minor injuries
A small two-seater helicopter crashed on Sunday morning at the Ganderkesee airfield in Lower Saxony, Germany. The accident occurred around 11:00 AM on a grass strip adjacent to the landing field.
Initial findings suggest the aircraft experienced technical engine problems shortly after takeoff, causing it to drop from a height of approximately two meters. The helicopter struck the ground on its side, causing the rotor blades to break off and scatter several meters from the wreckage.
Both occupants of the helicopter sustained only minor injuries. One individual was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. Approximately 40 emergency responders, including police and firefighters, attended the scene to secure the aircraft and manage spilled fluids. Authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the crash.
