Helios Hotel opens as modern Greek restaurant in Malvern

Helios Hotel, a new three-storey modern Greek restaurant, has opened in Malvern, Melbourne. Operated by Athenian chef Ioannis Kasidokostas and his business partner Maria Tsilfoglou, the venue is designed as a gathering place with a capacity for 300 people.

Drawing on Kasidokostas’s experience in Michelin-starred dining in Athens, the restaurant offers conceptual versions of traditional and regional Greek dishes. The establishment is significantly larger than the couple’s previous Mediterranean restaurant, Sowl, and aims to provide a unique perspective on the current renaissance of Greek cuisine in Melbourne.
