Helios St. Elisabeth Klinik Hünfeld appoints new head of pain medicine

The Helios St. Elisabeth Klinik Hünfeld is expanding its medical services with the appointment of Boris Veltum as the new head of pain medicine, effective November 1, 2026.

Under Veltum's leadership, the clinic will establish an inpatient multimodal pain therapy program designed for individuals suffering from chronic pain that has not responded to previous treatments. The program will initially offer up to eight treatment places. The approach integrates various medical and therapeutic disciplines, focusing on non-invasive methods, targeted invasive techniques, and complementary procedures such as acupuncture.

The therapy aims to address not only physical symptoms but also the psychological state and personal circumstances of patients to ensure treatment outcomes can be effectively integrated into daily life. The clinic intends to maintain close cooperation with local outpatient physicians and surrounding medical facilities.
