Helix Electric breaks ground on $45.3 million Alabama facility

Electrical contractor Helix Electric has officially broken ground on a new $45.3 million Advanced Fabrication Campus in Jackson County, Alabama. The project is expected to create 160 jobs in the region.

Located in Hollywood, Alabama, the facility will focus on manufacturing prefabricated electrical components and large modular electrical assemblies. These products include underground duct banks, duct bank risers, hangers, electrical devices, and modular electrical skids intended for construction and industrial projects.

Governor Kay Ivey noted that the investment serves as a vote of confidence in Alabama’s workforce and business climate. The California-based company stated that the new site will allow it to expand manufacturing capabilities and establish a presence closer to its East Coast customers.
