Hell Let Loose: Vietnam opens free cross‑play playtest worldwide
Team17 and Expression Games announced an open, free cross‑play playtest for the upcoming shooter Hell Let Loose: Vietnam. The test runs from 24 July to 27 July 2026 and is available on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Console participants must hold an active PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass Essential subscription.
The playtest features the new Đắk Tô Airfield map, inspired by the historic November 1967 battle in South Vietnam. The map emphasizes open terrain, large‑scale 50‑vs‑50 (up to 100 players) engagements and heightened team communication. Alongside the test, developers released the first part of a Q&A series discussing performance, gameplay, weapon design and future roadmap.
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam was originally slated for a June 2026 release but has been delayed to 13 August 2026. The playtest allows the team to gather feedback on the cross‑play implementation before launch.
