Hellas Verona rejects Marseille's offer for Rafik Belghali

Hellas Verona has rejected an initial transfer offer from Olympique de Marseille for Algerian defender Rafik Belghali. The Italian club is reportedly seeking a permanent sale rather than a loan arrangement, with a valuation of approximately 15 million euros.

Belghali, a 24-year-old offensive right-back, has attracted significant interest from several European clubs. In addition to Marseille, competitors for his signature include Inter Milan, AS Roma, Newcastle United, and Venezia.

Negotiations remain ongoing as Marseille attempts to structure a deal that meets Verona's financial requirements. The player joined Hellas Verona from KV Mechelen in 2025 and has since become a key figure for the Italian side due to his ability to contribute both defensively and offensively on the right flank.
