Hellefossen Villakssenter opens in Hokksund

The new Hellefossen Villakssenter was officially opened in Gamle-Hokksund, attended by various dignitaries including Storting President Masud Gharahkhani, local mayors, and county deputy mayors.

Speeches during the event highlighted the historical importance of salmon fishing in the region and the significant challenges facing wild salmon populations. Discussions focused on the impact of climate change, environmental protection, and the necessity of ongoing research to support salmon stocks in the Drammen River. The project was made possible through the efforts of the Østsiden Jeger- og Fiskerforening (ØJFF) and numerous volunteers.
