Hellenic Army welcomes first two female military police officers

Hellenic Army Military Police Karditsa women in military Greece

Konstantina Panagiotopoulou and Theopisti Chotidou have become the first two women to join the Military Police in the history of the Hellenic Army. Following the completion of their training, they were officially integrated into Military Police units in Karditsa.

The graduation and naming ceremony took place on Friday, September 4, at the Military Police Training Center located at the 'Colonel P.Z. Thomas Nikitas (Mounzia)' camp in Rousso. The event included a religious blessing and the presentation of commemorative diplomas to the new officers.

During the ceremony, camp commander Brigadier General Zacharopoulos noted that their selection from thousands of candidates was a high honor. Both Panagiotopoulou and Chotidou stated that they chose to serve voluntarily in the front line, expressing pride in their new roles and encouraging other women to pursue similar military paths.
