Hellenic Development Bank and JOIST partner to boost Greek innovation

The Hellenic Development Bank (HDB) and JOIST have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to strengthen entrepreneurship and innovation in Greece. The partnership aims to expand access for Greek businesses to new tools, networks, and opportunities, with a specific focus on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and scale-up companies.

Key components of the agreement include the exchange of expertise, facilitating access to capital, and utilizing HDB’s financial and non-financial instruments. A central element is the integration of JOIST with HDB’s digital community, InnoAgora, allowing startups and solutions from JOIST to be showcased to the InnoAgora community and vice versa.

The collaboration will also address digital transformation, ESG, the green transition, and skill development through joint initiatives such as educational webinars, workshops, and innovation challenges. Additionally, the organizations will explore connections with European networks like EuroQuity to enhance international outreach.
