Hellenic Fire Service to receive administration allowances up to 500 euros
A Joint Ministerial Decision has been published in the Government Gazette establishing a monthly administration allowance for active personnel of the Hellenic Fire Service. The allowance ranges from 80 to 500 euros, depending on the specific administrative position and level of responsibility held by the officer.
The highest monthly amount of 500 euros is designated for the Chief of the Fire Service, followed by the Deputy Chief at 450 euros. Other high-ranking roles, such as the Chief of Staff and General Inspectors for Northern and Southern Greece, will receive 400 euros. The scale continues downward through various coordinators, regional directors, and station commanders, with the minimum allowance set at 80 euros for heads of fire service units.
The decision carries retroactive effect starting from October 1, 2025, allowing eligible personnel to receive payments for the period during which they met the necessary requirements. To qualify, personnel must serve in the specific responsibility position on a full-time and exclusive basis. The allowance remains payable during authorized leave of up to one month but is suspended in cases of secondment, transfer, or availability.
