Hellenic Gold and DYPA launch vocational apprenticeship school
Hellenic Gold and the Public Employment Service (DYPA) have announced the establishment of a new vocational apprenticeship school in Stratoni, Chalkidiki. The program is designed to train young individuals as “Heavy Machinery Operators” using the facilities of the Prometheus Mining Academy.
The two-year program follows a dual education system, combining theoretical and laboratory instruction with paid, insured apprenticeships. Students will utilize modern technologies, including virtual and augmented reality simulators, to learn the operation, safe handling, and maintenance of construction and mining machinery. The curriculum also emphasizes health, safety, and environmental protection within the mining industry.
Applications are open to individuals aged 15 to 29 who hold a middle school diploma. The training is free of charge, and successful completion leads to a Level 3 Vocational Training and Qualification Diploma.
