The Hellenic Growth Fund has received bids for the utilization of the Markopoulo Olympic Equestrian Centre, a site spanning approximately 996,920 square meters in East Attica. The international auction involves the establishment and transfer of surface rights for a duration of 99 years.
According to the submitted bids, the participants include Aplekton Holdings Co. Ltd., Elia Corporation A.E., and the Hellenic Equestrian Federation. The unsealing of these financial offers will take place during upcoming meetings of the Hellenic Growth Fund's Board of Directors.
The facility, originally constructed for the 2004 Olympic Games, is located near the archaeological site of ancient Myrrinounta. Under post-Olympic use laws, the development may include new facilities such as a golf course, equestrian museum, riding schools, a hotel, a helipad, and various hospitality and exhibition spaces.
