Hellenic Police launch AI assistants for cybercrime education
The Hellenic Police Cybercrime Division has introduced two AI digital assistants, ‘Michail’ and ‘Nemesis’, as part of its upgraded Digital Cyber Academy. Developed in collaboration with the University of Crete, the academy utilizes Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR) to provide immersive cybersecurity training.
‘Michail’ serves as an information agent, providing reliable answers to questions regarding safe internet use and digital threats based on approved educational materials. ‘Nemesis’ monitors user choices during interactive training scenarios to create a personalized learning experience.
The initiative aims to educate citizens on topics such as online fraud, data theft, the sexual exploitation of minors, and cyberbullying. By using simulation and gamification, the program seeks to engage younger generations and strengthen public trust in digital security measures.
