Hellenic Police to receive new management allowances up to 500 euros

A joint ministerial decision from the Ministries of National Economy, Finance, and Citizen Protection has established a new framework for management allowances for the Hellenic Police. The monthly allowance is determined by the specific administrative position held, ranging from 80 to 500 euros.

At the highest level, the Chief of the Hellenic Police will receive 500 euros per month, followed by the First and Second Deputy Chiefs at 450 euros. General Coordinators for Northern and Southern Greece are set to receive 400 euros. Other tiers include heads of General Directorates at 350 euros, Directors at 250 euros, and Deputy Directors at 180 euros. Lower-level administrative roles, such as Department heads and Station commanders, will receive between 80 and 100 euros.

Special provisions are included for the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (DAOE), where the Director receives 250 euros, Deputy Directors receive 180 euros, and Department heads receive 100 euros. Notably, the decision includes retroactive provisions, with the allowance effective from October 1, 2025, despite its publication in the Government Gazette in August 2026.
